Soil Nails
Soil nails were installed at the Wolf Ridge Resort Pool Building to stabilize a wall area of approximately 7,700 square feet. The nails were installed by drilling and grouting methods. Nails were as much as 45 ft long.
Soil nailing provided a cost effective solution for a deep excavation next to two settlement sensitive structures (a pool and a one story building).
A shotcrete façade reinforced with welded wire fabric was installed over the exposed soils to provide surficial stability. A "relatively planer" gun finish was provided. |
